Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has lauded Ruben Loftus-Cheek following his performance in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Loftus-Cheek was introduced into the action after just ten minutes to replace N’Golo Kante and scored Chelsea’s first goal in the rout.
Further goals from David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain made sure of victory and, with results elsewhere going their way, secured Chelsea’s spot in next season’s Champions League.
Cundy was hugely impressed with Loftus-Cheek’s attributes and believes he grows into games.
“He was excellent actually”, Cundy added.
The Blues are in Europa League action on Thursday night when they host Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their semi-final tie; the first leg in Germany ended 1-1.
