Jos — The Chairman, House Committee on Interior, Jagaba Adams Jagaba, has warned personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC) against bribery and corruption in the course of discharging their duties.

Jagaba, who gave the warning while addressing officers of the NSCDC at the command’s headquarters in Jos, Plateau State, stressed that any law enforcement agent found guilty of bribery and corruption would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

He stressed that personnel must know that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was now fully functional, adding, “NSCDC under the current administration is different from the previous ones, therefore officers should not expect to operate on the old version of the command.”

In his response, the state NSCDC Commandant, Olasupo Adebayo Solomon, thanked the committee chairman for his visit to the command despite the fact that the lawmakers are on recess.

Daily Trust on Sunday reports that Jagaba and his team were on a working visit to discuss areas of the corps that may need legislation.
